Cookie policy

This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on www.novacash.ca, their purposes, retention periods, and how you manage your choices. It complements the Privacy policy (/en/confidentiality-policy). Technologies strictly necessary for the service and security are not conditioned on analytics consent.

1. Who is accountable

2. Technology inventory

The following technologies are present or may be present on this site:

  • cc_consent: localStorage, essential for remembering your consent choices, reference duration 395 days. Used to show or hide non-essential tools according to your decision.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: essential security. Processes signals and, where applicable, strictly necessary challenge technology (IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent, sitekey/origin). Duration is controlled by Cloudflare. This mechanism protects the application form and is not subject to analytics refusal.
  • Google Analytics 4: when a measurement ID is configured, cookies _ga and _ga_*, analytics purpose, maximum duration capped at 395 days. GA4 is loaded and used only after explicit analytics consent. Without that consent, GA4 is not loaded and does not send data.
  • Google Search Console: aggregated data reviewed in the search console; adds no cookie or runtime tag in visitors’ browsers on this site.

3. Categories and when we use them

Essential / security: required to provide the site securely (consent memory, anti-bot protection). Analytics: audience measurement and site improvement, only with your opt-in. We currently use no third-party advertising tags or marketing pixels.

4. Your choices: Accept, Reject, Customize

When you visit, a consent interface lets you Accept, Reject, or Customize non-essential purposes. Choices are presented equally: rejecting is not hidden behind a harder path than accepting. Essential technologies remain active because they are necessary for security and basic operation.

You may withdraw or change consent at any time through the persistent control at the bottom-left of the screen. Adding a new non-essential provider or purpose will require an updated notice and renewed consent where applicable.

5. If you reject analytics

If you reject analytics, the site and loan application form remain usable. Only optional audience measurement is disabled. Turnstile and essential security controls stay in place.

6. Retention and updates

The consent preference (cc_consent) is stored locally for about 395 days, after which the banner may be shown again. Active GA4 cookie lifetimes are capped at 395 days. Turnstile signals follow Cloudflare’s settings. We may update this policy; the version on this page controls.
